Are you aware that every person has a typical calculation of his full name?

1. Name of clan (gotra)

This includes the surname, and the name of father, or husband

2. Main or Active name

This is the name which is known to all. Usually this is the first name of anyone.

For example, in ‘Francis David Fernandes’, Francis becomes the first name. But if he is using F.D. Fernandes as his signature, then his surname ‘Fernandes’ becomes his active name.

3. Secondary name

In the above example, if the person is using ‘F. D. Fernandes’, ‘F. D.’ becomes his secondary name. If he uses ‘Francis Fernandes’, ‘David’ becomes his secondary name.

4. Name to calculate life number

The name in school, college, or other official documents is considered to calculate the life number. Hebrew, and Kheldian systems of numerology have given a specific rank or a number to each English alphabet.

Let us calculate three important categories from a person’s name:

1) The number that defines WILLPOWER

This number is called the number of willpower. It indicates the state of mind. It is also knowns as the number of spirituality or ambition. This is calculated based on the vowels in one’s name. Also, when there is not vowel in the person’s name, many numerologists consider ‘Y’ as the vowel.

2) The number that determines PERSONALITY

This number is called the Personality number. It shows the effect, and impression of this person on others. This number determines the opinions of others about him. Take into account the consonants of the person’s name and calculate the Personality number.

3) The number that shows the path to fortune / Life number

Oops! This is tricky

We have two methods to calculate the Life number. One from the name of a person, and second from the birth date of a person. Which one to consider?

If you have the accurate birth date, we recommend you to calculate the Life number with the second method else otherwise, from the name which is officially used.

From the above example, sum up the totals of ‘Willpower number’, and ‘Personality number’ and you get the Life number. Here, the number that represents the ‘Willpower’ is 6, and the ‘Personality’ number is 4. Thus, the Life number is (6 + 4 = 10, 1 + 0 = 1) 1.

Birth date of the person is 11th May 1976. Mathematical conversion is 11-5-1976
The life number is (1 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 6 = 30 = 3 + 0 = 3) 3.

Here, we can see that both the life numbers differ. We have to note that if the person does not have his accurate birth date, he has to consider the Life number from his official name and accordingly the planetary position, and influence will be determined. It is always recommended to have the birth date available, so that the correct configuration, and effect of planets can be calculated.

4) The Birth number

Very simple!

If you have the birth date of the person, simply sum up the date and you have the birth number.

If someone is born on 26th of any month, his birth number is (2 + 6 = 8) 8.
If someone is born on 6th of any month, his birth number is 6.

Life number and Birth number from the accurate birth date play a very important role predicting through numerology. They help person determine the line of study, line of career, disease that could threat the future, his relationships, marriage, and many more aspects of life.

The science of Astrology

Horoscope, Numerology, Vastu Shastra or any other science is beyond the rules of planets, signs, constellations and numbers given in any book. Vedic texts suggest that the work of great virtue and perseverance is the only way to become an accurate astrologer, unlike someone who predicts merely with the knowledge of zodiacal configuration, some mathematics and rules studied from the books.

Practical application of the above understanding is subject to one’s own choices, and it is recommended only after taking suggestions from a Subject Matter Expert.
